About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lift Chair Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our Lift Chair Department. This position provides leadership, direction, and support to Lift Chair staff while ensuring orders, repairs, deliveries, customer needs, and departmental workflows are handled accurately, efficiently, and timely.

The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable, solutions-oriented leader who understands DME/HME operations and can effectively balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Lift Chair Department to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely operations.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and performance goals and provide updates to DME leadership.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers reporting lift chair equipment problems or requesting repairs.
  • Gather information from customers and perform initial troubleshooting to help identify the likely cause of equipment issue and replacement parts needed. 
  • Serve as the department-level management contact for customers who have concerns regarding Lift Chair services, equipment, deliveries, or repairs.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of Lift Chair employees.
  • Provide delivery and route coverage when employees call off, are unavailable, or department demand requires additional support.
  • Run scheduled delivery routes and assist with urgent or time-sensitive deliveries.
  • Assist the Warehouse with operational needs as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the HME/DME industry.  Two years of college, in business or a related field, is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory, leadership, or equivalent experience in DME, HME, lift chair, home medical equipment, home health, or a related healthcare operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and other departments.
  • Ability and willingness to provide delivery and route coverage when operational needs require it.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of lift chair equipment, components, troubleshooting, repairs, and manufacturer requirements is highly valued.At least one year of equipment repair experience.
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, employees, vendors, referral sources, and leadership.
  • Experience supervising or leading employees.
  • Knowledge of order processing, documentation, scheduling, delivery coordination, and customer service.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, quality assurance, and documentation requirements.

The Team Lead will help the department meet operational goals, support employee development, resolve customer and equipment issues, maintain compliance, and step in where needed to keep deliveries and services running smoothly.
