Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and implement all the Company’s policies and procedures and compliance with all accreditation standards
- Take all appropriate actions to ensure the DME department complies with applicable laws and regulations
- Set and track staff goals.
- Ensure timely completion of order confirmations
- Accept and divide out all orders received (i.e, Parachute)
- Stay up to date on all DME emails and provide a response within 24h
- Be the point of contact and available for vendors (i.e., Hospice). Maintain a good business rapport.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all DME systems (ex. Brightree)
- Be involved in hiring and training new staff
- Coordinate in-services to meet all licensure and accreditation requirements
- Provide coaching and disciplinary action to staff as needed
- Check fax machine, making certain all faxes are cleared at the end of each day
- Perform annual employee evaluations, employee coaching and discipline when needed
- Maintain all manuals, updating as needed
- Assist with quality improvement tasks related to DME
- Additional duties/responsibilities as assigned by General Manager and/or leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in DME or home health industry
Effective verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience or equivalent experience in DME or home health industry
- Three (3) year of DME experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting, standing, walking at desk, in office and throughout facility
Operation of office machinery and equipment
Occasionally lift/move items up to 40 pounds
Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
